Collapse Rescue Operations
Collapse incidents such as tree on a house, or car into a building are all incidents that occur routinely in every town and city nationwide. Through two days, students will be introduced to various aspects of collapse rescue including:
- Initial Response COnsiderations
- Basic size-up of structural stability
- Equipment overview and setup of Paratech and wood shoring
- Basic shoring of T, Double T, 2 Post Vertical, and 3-5 post vertical shores
Day 2 will be scenarios requiring students to utilize all the skills taught in day 1 to accomplish realistic and challenging rescues such as tree on a house, car into a building, and construction accidents.
PPE Requirements will be forthcoming.
