Trench Rescue Operations

Trench Rescue Operations

Anyone can rent a mini excavator or backhoe - and these incidents caused twice the number of deaths in 2022 vs 2021. 

Introduction to Trench Rescue Operations will introduce students to many of the steps and operations of a trench rescue.
- Initial response considerations
- Basic size-up of trench failure and soil dynamics
- Equipment overview and setup
- Basic shoring of straight trenches
- Basic lifting of objects off of patients
- Removal of Victims from trench
 
This will include both simulated and live trenches, as well as various types of lifts. No experience or certifications are required to attend. This is not a certification class. 
 
PPE Requirements will be forthcoming.
